The hotel was OK, considering the price, but needs updating.
Buffet dinner was from 7.30 to 10.00 we arrived at 8.30 and there was not much left, we asked for more which we got but the choice was poor. Although the bedrooms were small, they were sufficient, but walls were very thin and you could hear everything from next door. Decor needs updating.
We liked cleaness and price of the hotel. Location was good as well - for us was important to find it easy and be able to park the car as I am not a fan of driving small streets in unknown town.
Over all hotel was decent, but a bit old school and it we got this feeling of 70s also the public was mostly elderly people, so it was like return in time, but in genral no big complaints. AC was loud, but thats ok as it would lower other noises coming from other rooms, as it seems isolation of walls in not new either.
The staff and environment created a pleasent holiday experience.
Our room No 115 needs new mattresses as the ones we had were past their best and lumpy.
Location was on the edge of the town (Nerja), but still only 15/20 minutes into the town centre. Pool area was good.
Much too much noise. We were 30 foot (window to window) from the entertainment area, and the noise was horrendous!!, thankfully it stopped at around midnight, but was replace with everyone going to bed, having a chat, walking down the corridors!!!! Not a place to be in if you want a good nights sleep. Although the window could be (and were) shut the air con was noisy and ineffective. Would have been better off sleeping by the pool, this was considered.
swimming pooland very relaxing holiday
distance from the town and not very comfy beds
We stayed at this hotel, while attending a friends wedding in nerja, its about a 15min walk from the centre of nerja, it has all the facilites you need for a hotel break. There is a good bar menu. the pool and surround is very clean and well maintained. Would appeal to families, or couples,,,too far out for younger people for night life..........
The only complaint we had was that the balcony in our room 307 was so small it was the width of two chairs, and the balcony door was definetely designed for slim people........
Great location only 10-15 minute walk to the beach and main centre , the hotel has a lovely cafe/bar and theres plenty of resturants and bars in the surrounding area. Its a perfect location if you like walking or running and its close to the caves. The staff were lovely, very friendly an helpfull. When I arrived I was given a ground floor room with no balcony I asked to change rooms and as soon as a room became available the next day I was given a lovely room with a big balcony, I couldnt have asked for more.
it was an excellent hotel small but personal.staff so polite nothing was a problem.rooms were very small but spotless.will stay their again.
a little bit far from the town and beach had to get taxis all the time didnt budget for the extra expence.
The hotel was nice, the rooms, and hotel were very clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed room only in one of the older rooms on the top floor, they were nice and a resonable size. We eat in the bar/resturant one night which was nice food and resonable priced drinks. The location is approx 20-25minute walk from the main center where all the resturants/bars are, taxi cost about 6-7 euros into town. Burriana beach is about 20 minute walk all down hill. Overall a pleasent stay, the price is good, and would recommend to anyone staying in nerja
Avoid the basement rooms, these are small dingy and only have a small window looking out onto the street (where everyone can look in), we were in one for the first two nights until we asked to be moved. The beds are hard, and could do with some softer pillows. There are no tea/coffee making faclities. The aircon is noisy.
The quiet position of the hotel, friendly staff, it is more suited to mature couples. We stayed at the Nerja club hotel about 10 years ago so it was nice to see it had been updated.
Although the hotel has been updated there are still a few improvements that could be made - such as better towels in the bathroom - the bath towels are rather small. The food although a varied choice, could be improved on and it would be helpful to put a note on dishes to explain what they were, especially on the Spanish food.
We live up the coast from Nerja and have stayed there overnight with friends for a night or 2 for location and entertainment. Whilst we noticed the refurbishment of the hotel, which is a great improvement, we were disappointed with the food and the entertainment on the day we were there and sympathised with the people who were there longer term and it appeared that, as the hotel was not full, the patrons there were shortchanged in the dining facilities and lack of choice of food. Also the singer on the night was aloof and appeared to be there under duress. He did not interact with the audience, and in fact most of them left the room early, while we stayed on as we were only there for 1 night and did not wish to leave the hotel. We have had lots of good experiences staying there, but it seems that the hotel is suffering in some areas to compensate for the cost of refurbishment.
Easy to find and for parking a 15 min slow walk into the centre of Nerja, less than 10 to the nearest beach (downhill) but the staff do there best to assist you with any of your needs and the food was also good. There is a touch of good quality in this hotel and the areas inside and outside are well looked after with plenty of space for all.
We requested a particular aspect and got just what we wanted. Very comfortable and clean, the food was sound rather than exciting but we both managed to eat plenty of it! Good communal facilities with entertainment and dancing three nights per week. Most enjoyable and excellent value. We hope to return soon.
It is a bit of a walk from town. We had a car but I was told that there is a bus service.
This was the first Hotel we have stopped in for many years and we were very pleased with everything about the hotel. Our room was large and well equipped, the staff very helpful and the hotel its self was everything it said on the site. I would return if we ever needed a hotel in Nerja again.
